Gyros

What is a Gyro?
Gyros or gyro (pronounced "yee" - "roh") is a Greek dish consisting of meat (Don-O's Gyro's cooks a delicious lamb and beef combination), tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce, and is served on pita bread.

To make gyros, a cone of meat is placed on a tall vertical spit, which turns in front of a source of heat. The rate of roasting can be adjusted by varying the strength of the heat and the distance between the heat and the meat, allowing the cook to adjust to varying rates of consumption. The meat is sliced vertically.

Note: Gyros served in the United States use a processed meat, because of sanitary regulations.
